We were discussing this at work last night... what is the correct pronunciation of Mindulle. We know it's a North Korean word, but is it pronounced "men-duel", "men-duel-lah", or "men-duel-lay"... or something totally different?
Thanks

Here's a link to the 2004 storms. You need Real Player to listen to how to pronounce each one.

In any event, it doesn't look like we'll have any really tough ones like 2000's "Longwang". I gotcho longwang /rite hea'/.

The right pronunciation is: "min~dl~le", Name of a flower, (dandelion), North Korea.
Tingting: "ting~ting". A fairly common pet name for young girls. Hong Kong, China.
I have a little book that is called "ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee" "Tropical Cyclone Names for the Typhoon Committee Region". It contains by country all the names that have been used & would be use by the WPAC with its pronunciation and meaning.
