No Weapons of mass destruction??

#1 Postby chadtm80 » Tue Jun 29, 2004 3:30 pm

Reports today confirm over one MILLION people missing while Saddam was in power. OVER ONE MILLION. We found enough mustard gass to kill about 1/4 of a million people.. But Sadam was a WMD all in his own.. ONE MILLION PEOPLE!!

Don't discount the weapons parts and materials that have been found in scrapyards far from Iraq; the Samoud II missiles found in Rotterdam, stripped; those "yellow cake" warheads in Brussels, etc. ad nauseam...likely shipped out through Syrian ports.

Then, there's that suspect area in the Bekaa valley, guarded by Hezbollah and former fedayeen Saddam; one need not wonder where the chemicals for that abortive Jordanian strike came from.

And, for those who have VERY short memories, recall that when we were still in Kuwaiti staging areas, we had "U.N. banned" missiles thrown at us from "outlawed" ranges.

OH, YASS...Saddam HAD them, no doubt in my ex-military mind...he just went on a "scrap 'em" binge when he became aware that the U.S. was NOT bluffing.

There was a mustard gas shell that went off in the green zone the other day that seems to be swept under the carpet.

Just wondering: everybody looking for MDW, what about the conventional weapons now and since always in use in Iraq? Why nobody tried to eliminate those tons of weapons immediately after the invas...oops sorry: the freedom of Iraq?

If I didnt know better, but I think Italy is in this war too. So dont go blaming America for everything done or not done in Iraq...we arent the ONLY countries there.

We did invade Iraq. I have no problem with that term and in fact I'm proud that President Bush and other real world leaders, including your own, decided to finally enforce the UN sanctions and resolutions! As to your other question, you imply that nothing was/is being done about the conventional weapons. That's assumption is inaccurate. Keep in mind that we are still discovering weapons caches of massive proportions. This is a country of approximately 432,000 sq km so that places an average of 1 soldier for every 3+ sq/km. Add to that fact that this has been a highly militarized nation for 20+ years and the conventional munitions were dispersed in preparation for the war and then it's not hard to understand why there are guns and rocket launchers everywhere. Once again you ask a slanted question without even an attempt to provide and thought or insight before you do it.
