Gee Spinner! Did you have any damage at your house? The grass around that tree that fell looked like it was a part of a carpet!

Yep. We have two large pines in the backyard and one of the larger branches is basically holding on by the bark now..20 feet in the air. We are trying to get it taken down before it falls but you know it is the holiday weekend and all so that is a no-go.

Someone was struck by lightning in my town as well (setting up for the fireworks display that was to take place tonight.)

The storm came in SO quick..within 1 minute. I had NOAA on and I was like "ok..so it's just a watch and I've got hail and 50 mile an hour winds".

Anyway, lots of downed power lines and trees and 1 person was hit by lightning.

Thanks BL03 for that radar. Connecticut had some big ones as well. I'd hate to have been driving on Long Island - Brooklyn/ Queens area when they came across the river!

That person struck by lightning wasn't killed was he/she?
