Running On Empty's moved upstairs.

#1 Postby Kiko » Sun Jul 04, 2004 8:21 pm

A very complex and multi-talented man passed away a couple weeks ago, folks. He was a member of this board. And since his death has stunned and saddened many, I wanted to come here to pass on the news.

Running On Empty/h a i k u/Manniac were the nics he was known as and I thought of him dearly as a friend for almost five years now, in the realm of message board postings, email, and chat.

Because he's such an unforgettable character, I had the idea to make a tribute site and stopped by here to find his picture in your S2k Gallery.

(That's kind of what got me posting here a bit--wow, the place has grown, good going everyone, it's a wonderful board.)

Now I understand that it's sometimes hard to be interested in other people's tragedy or loss, but the site has a link to S2K and I thought I'd show it to you for that reason also.

Visit if you like. Those who knew him may appreciate the qualities that many of us saw in a friend we held so dear. The site represents just a few of those, a sampling of his haikus, and links to some wonderful web times.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to honor his spirit. And a great One at that.

Kiko

Did you and Chad pow wow over this? Ok with you? I'll take it off if not.

I just think, in his words:

Poetry of any kind
Should be shared by all.
