"But WAIT....there's MORE!"

#1 Postby azsnowman » Mon Jul 05, 2004 11:39 am

Just curious, how many here buy *stuff* off the tv, ya know..those "But WAIT..there's MORE" type commercials? If a person bought a 1/4 of what they sell, you would have to have a 2200 sq ft kitchen to PUT all that stuff in "LOL!" The newest invention, the "Eggstractor" "PUUUULEASE!" Why on EARTH would you BUY one of those things, isn't it quicker to shell the eggs by hand?

I don't know anyone who has ever bought those things off the TV. Those commericals are so annoying. :grr:

We have picked up a few things from those annoying ads; I have a "Micro-Touch" mini-electric shaver that I can (and do) use for my ears/nose/thinning my beard, Debi has some exercise items and diet cook book from "The FIRM", and coppertop got some CDs (oldies) from TV promotions.

Saw a laser-straight one night that I went crazy for. Haven't used it yet. It came with a free stud-finder though, which isn't useful at all since I have lathe and plaster walls. Lord only knows if there're studs there.

The micro-touch has always been tempting for a gift for my kid, works good does it?

When these impulses hit, my main defense is to hurry up and change the channel.
