Want a TC, look at Bermuda not COA

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Want a TC, look at Bermuda not COA

#1 Postby Derek Ortt » Tue Jul 06, 2004 6:52 pm

Ran some vis loops of our disturbance off of Bermuda. Looks quite close to TD with convection around a tight circulation. Definately better than a few disGRACEful storms from the past. Wouldnt be at all surprised to see this develop within the next 12-24 hours, but I dont expect this to threaten land

I agree that the area is more promising right now than other ones further east but a fish one for it.It is almost in the same area where Ana formed last year in april.

Here is a sat pic of the atlantic and there is the south of Bermuda system not with too much convection but a spin noted.By the way down below 10n that area of convection around 52w will slam into South America.

It does have the best shot of becoming our first Atlantic region named Storm of this year. But like you said Derek, this system will most likely be a complete fish.

After all, that's is good. I don't want since now to have tropical cyclones impacting land, leave that for August, September, and October.

I've never seen anything resembling a circulation for this either on VIS or on QS...a bit mystified over what people are seeing. TWDs certainly don't mention a circ.
