It all comes down to...

these 6 key states in the Nov. election IMHO... (this is barring any strange surprise by either side in some state)

IOWA
MISSOURI
ARKANSAS
LOUISIANA
NEW MEXICO
FLORIDA

Iowa went Dem. in 2000 as did NM, but only by small margins. I think these two states are up for either candidate. Bill Richardson will help Kerry here. Richardson's problems and Bush being from TX will help him and Cheney.

Missouri is up for grabs. If the Dems want to win Missouri this November, their best bet is to let Claire McCaskill win the Dem. primary. If Bob Holden gets the nomination, it will be harder for Kerry to win here because of the anti-Holden people in this state.

Louisiana has had some success with getting a larger Dem. base. Mary Landrieu is a big reason for this. I think that LA is in play here.

But it may all come down to Florida. And you know who I believe holds the key to Florida? BILL CLINTON.

The GOP is being energized as never before in the "Show-Me State"; people who were too timid to associate themselves with a party are actively not only "coming out" as GOP, they are RUNNING FOR OFFICES...a phenomenon that has NEVER been seen before, statewide.

"Sponge-Bob" Holden or Claire McCaskill, makes no diference; Matt Blunt (GOP) seems to have an edge in all the counties save St. Louis and KC.

Ditto on the local level...the DNC and GOP both realize that this a fight for survival, and are doing MUCH more than we have seen for longer than many remember to win in November.

I'm seeing it day-by-day...and it looks GOOD.
