What are the opinions on the wave models and the latest visible satellite?

I'm ready to go surfing, its been flat far to long down here :cry:

Looks to me like you'd better have your board waxed and ready to go Sunday morning.

Of course, those waves are nothing like what you'd see in CA. But, hey, if you're like the guys up here in Galveston who like to ride the white caps, it looks like Sunday is your day.

Thanks for the welcomes, I fell in love with this place last year because of all the insight and knowledge. Weather and cool people can't beat it! Now all we need is what Brazil got just a few months back HeHe.

Get the Mr. Zogg's out...Looks like Saturday afternoon through Sunday they'll be running 3 to 5-ish with a SE wind. Not a shredder's ball by any stretch, but if memory serves me from my distant Texas boyhood, y'all are capable of working a lot of action out of a little bit of wave. 8-)

Especially along those jetties.

That's what I'm having problems with, the forecast you just posted doesn't jive with the wave models I posted above :?:

Well maybe they do, but I think some of the models are showing 5-7 feet seas.

Ok Im going to be stingy now and ask that since I posted first about the Yucatan disturbance before any forcaster that I repeat I should get all the credit for for pointing out the first depression of the season :roll:

There is nothing indicating that there will be a deprssion once that wave is over the GOM. Conditions are still too hostile at this time.
