since edwards is super rich, couldnt he afford a "trophy" wife?

Elizabeth Edwards is intelligent, well educated, successful and brilliant on the campaign trail. During his run for the Dem nomination, she advised him and his campaign on nearly everything, and then spoke in cities on her own whenever she had the chance. She also cares for their two little ones (who are little angels  and would be so much fun to watch grow up in Washington .... unlike those scary Bush twins  ). They have been together since law school and, from all accounts Ive heard, still seem very much in love.
Any man smart enough to make all the money Edwards did is smart enough not to throw all that away on some skanky trophy girl.
He hasn't, and he wont.
Remember, Republicans are the ones who want their wives to be mere accessories.... hehehe

I understand your feelings on the President stormie but I do not like the bashing of children.

And besides, everything you just mentioned about Teresa reminds me of Hillary's agenda.

Laura Bush is hardly an "accessory"...you assume too much w/o a shred of evidentiary substance to support your allegations.

They are in college and plan on assisting their father in his reelection campaign - so they are no longer children, and they are choosing to get involved in politics. I didn't consider what I said to be bashing anyways - God knows I would never say anything about them like Rush said about Chelsea when she was in, what was it, middle school? But they haven't been a joy to watch grow up, nor have they been assets to the family, at least not so far. If I acted the way they did my parents would have kicked my #%*& around the block and back

And besides, everything you just mentioned about Teresa reminds me of Hillary's agenda.

First of all, I was talking about Elizabeth Edwards, not Teresa nor Hillary. I didnt know using ones talents and intelligence to assist a loved one in their career or life was an "agenda." Elizabeth hasnt asked for a cabinet-level position in a Kerry administration, she just does what she can to help her husband get into office. If someone you loved was persuing a dream and you could help, you wouldnt? Is that something to be ashamed of?

For what it is worth I did not approve of the bashing of Chelsea either. But, by mentioning the "sweet little angels" in comparison to the "Scary Bush twins" then you left that door open. But in your own words, the Bush twins are older and are helping their Father. I assure you when the Edwards children are older they will also help their Father. It is just my opinion to leave children (young or old) out of the political debates.

Sorry for the mistake. Either way, Hillary does have an agenda.
