Folks.......Its Early In The Season

#1 Postby Steve H. » Fri Jul 09, 2004 11:17 pm

WHen I hear cries of "I've blown my forecast", or "forget July" it gets me a bit aggravated. We have just passed the first week in July Folks! We are not below normal in tropical activity. Seasons of late have not started until August. It will get busy soon enough, so just relax. The pattern is shaping up early for tropical activity IMO, and I believe we'll have a longer active period this year. THere is a huge complex of T'storms across Africa now, along with a fairly strong low pressure area. Normally I wouldn't talk about such things this early, but they are ahead of schedule and the pattern is looking like August rather than early July! It will get busy soon enough. Like Luis said....patience. 8-)

But nothing has developed yet! Does this mean there's an El Nino?

Ow! OW! I was kidding! OW!

Sheesh, some people can't take a joke.
