Normal "nap time"
Based on 30-year climatology (from 1974-2003), it's not too common to have too many tropical storms by this time of year. As a matter of fact, the average day for the first named tropical storm is July 8.

, during all this time I'm free of school and the tropics are quiet, then on August 16th I will begin my Senior year in High School and the tropics begin to heat up.
