It Has Begun-in SE AZ at least. July 8th will be the official start date for the monsoon in our area. Sadly, this is one day after the original start by date in my outlook that I posted on my homepage in June so that is a bust. Now we have to see how the rain pans out . With my watch for the start now over, I turn the thread over to those who are still waiting for the 'soon and will post on major monsoon events as they occur.

All we can do here in Phoenix is wait for that low level moisture to become more predominant. Storms over the least few days have sat along and just west of the rim and again down near Ajo. With no steering currents to kick them in any direction, they simply provide ample beauty from a distance but no rain, or even dust, as yet.
