I suppose..I was as wide eyed and innocent as you two young bucks are at one time.I sat back though, after 1972 and started to listen and learn from those with some extensive experience.
I like your sticking together,Commraderie is a strength, never lose it.
Listening and learning are also a sign of maturity.
I'm still listening.
Take Care.

We all were DJ! I remember it well(well at least some of it  ). My point of view has changed as I've grown older and learned much more about life and love and war. We do respect each others right to our opinions, whether we agree or not. "nuff said on that!

My take on the hiding in the hospitals, etc. is this, and I know it will not be popular with some. If they are hiding in a hospital and ambushing our troops, then I'm sorry, there should not be a second thought about it-BLAST THEM!!!! Obviously, we risk major "collateral damage" if we do this, but that is an unfortunate REALITY OF WAR and another showing of how SICK SADDAM AND HIS CRONIES ARE! ONLY EVIL MADMEN WOULD USE THEIR OWN COUNTRIES CIVILIANS AS HUMANSHIELDS. HE MUST GO AND THE SOONER THE BETTER!!!

Time will tell how the media is perceived in this was - PTracker - I was watching the news last night - you are right we are viewing this war as it happens in every aspect. But I have to disagree with you - I think the youth and people of America need to see this - they need to know what our troops do to make this great country of ours safe and give us our freedom. Its not a video-game - its not a 8 hour job - its war. I have allowed my 7 year old limited access to some of the news coverage - because I want her to know this isn't a game - its real life. Just my two cents.

Only a Fool

would think about being humane in War. War is NOT humane-the purpose of war is to kill more of the enemy than he kills of you and to totally eliminate the enemy's will to resist. One reason we had our clock cleaned in Vietnam was that we went in with one hand tied behind our back for "humane" reasons and with leaders (both civilian and military) that had their heads up and locked in place. Personally, I think that we could get really bloodied here which would make us look even more stupid and foolish (and vulernable) than we are now looking in the Arab World. We supposedly have an EMP bomb-though I really think that was a propaganda plant by our Government and it doesn't exist since the exigencies of war would dictate that it should have been used already.

Good point Chad, however the Geneva convention was also created by civilized countries. Saddam's regimes will not abide by those rules. However, it does not mean that we should not either. War is not humane, no matter how much you try to avoid hurting innocent bystanders. However, this war was mainly started to help "liberate" not "obliterate" the Iraqi people.
