Excuse my limited knowledge, but I couldnt help noticing a little cluster at about N12, W54. Anyone have any links where you might get a better look? Any ideas? I'd like to learn more about what to look for, where to go to look for it, etc. Thanks!

You have probably heard this one before, but have you checked out all of the available info on the STORM2K homepage and all oth the links above, especially under the Tropical weather tab? There is a wealth of information on this site besides all the great people we have here that should be able to direct you to various other sources we may not have, besides just answering your questions.

Among those links are many different satellite views available, including several that can be zoomed in and out to have a closer look. Obviously, one thing you would be looking for is a definite swirl in the clouds. If you find one then you need to determine whether it is in the upper or lower levels of the system and that kind of determination, at least from satellite images, comes from practice, practice, practice. One good thing to do is to click on the sat image links others supply in their threads and see if you can find what they are talking about. AND ABOVE ALL KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS TILL YOU GET AN ANSWER!!!!
GOOD CATCH on this little distrubance. Not mentioned by anyone prior to your post. I haven't looked at enough info to determine anything about it except it is a blob of growing convection. Anyone else out there have more definite info? I don't have time to research it right now.

That is a tropical wave which has flared a little bit and may have a very weak turning of low clouds but so far nothing to open eyebrows at this time however it is something to watch.
