Hou/Galv stormage brewing?

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Thu Jul 15, 2004 9:05 am

I've received two special marine warnings in my email this morning about the storms off the coast. I can't quite tell how they're expanding and if the eastern edge of the island is going to get them or not.

Anybody else's eyes better than mine? How many of us in this area from Galveston to League City to Houston are going to see this stuff?

Nevermind, it kept moving westward. Just got close enough that I had to ask.

You are right that we need the rain. Now we've seen nothing for a week and everything is getting dry. It would be nice if we could get our rains on a more "Scheduled" basis without the deluges we normally seem to get every couple of weeks. We may be over our normal amount for the year but the grass and bushes need H2O!!

Things dry out alot faster in the summer with the high heat and strong sun. We haven't had any rain since Saturday and I'm betting that by tomorrow or by at least Satury I'll have to water the grass. Looks like our normal afternoon showers and storms will return late in the weekend into next week THANKFULLY!
