Radio Giveaway Contests

You've heard your local station give away concert tickets, cd's and other fun prizes...but like me you think it's rigged cuz you can never get through on the phone line! Do you try to win things on the radio? I do every once in awhile and the line is always busy! I tried today....I GOT THROUGH! I WAS CALLER #10! I was thinking of my kids when I called...tickets to see Kid Rock in Baton Rouge next Tuesday night. Well, my husband informed me that he likes some of his music...so I'll give him the tickets. Oh and did I say I had a choice of envelope #1 and envelope #2? I chose #1 and got FRONT ROW TICKETS!

Unbelievable! Good job Kathy.. and Kudos to your radio station for giving you the tickets..

My radio station usually gives away Magic tickets or Britney tickets if she's in town lol.. But I never win..

I'd especially go for J-Lo tickets too if she ever did a concert here.. {as stated in my "How well do you know me" Quiz}

I have my local rock radio station on speed dial. I have won backstage passes several times.

Congrats!! That is soooo cool! I used to think it was a hoax too, till my mom called while I was out swimming (back when I was 10 years old)... She was the right caller and won me Motley Crue tickets, front row!! I was 10 and my mom was in her 30's... It was sooooo cool!!!

Way to go Cajunmama! I can never seem to get through either. One time I was caller 9 (needed to be 10) and I just wanted to cry, lol. Congrats again. Too bad it wasn't a band you wanted to see.

I calld in the local radio station once and i had to immitate Austin Powers....and i won...lol. I won free tickets to see the 2nd movie, a free t-shirt, tattoos, a bumper sticker and a CD of the movie...i was youngest person to win anything on that station...i was only 11 at the time :oops:
