Duck - I'd have to choose the child over the puppy, and I'm an animal lover! That would a very hard choice but you have to choose the child, IMHO.

In answer to the last ?, I wouldn't turn my neighbor in either. Now if they were dealing, and especially to children, then that's a different story altogether. But if the person was only harming himself and not his family, then all you can do is gently encourage that person to seek help. And it has to be THEIR idea, not yours.

Here's an easy question - if you were offered a free resort stay (3 days/nights) if you sat thru their promotional sales pitch for 4 hours and were obligated to offer this deal to 3 friends/family members, would you do it?

Mary

Don't read before answering my question!!!

PS - changing the rules a bit here, I'd say no way. Nothing's free in this world. I would strongly suspect you'd be responsble for part of your resort stay - tips, drinks, meals, something. Again, nothing is free. I'm not that naive anymore! And no I've never taken advantage of a deal like this, just know people that did and said never again!

No way. There is a catch there somewhere.

Next question:

You have a friend who has a problem -- they are anorexic. They are overweight and while they need to lose some weight you don't want them to do it that way. You know that you need to help them, but don't know exactly how to do it. She begs you not to tell anyone else. What do you do?

I would say a controlled diet plan and striving to keep on it daily also w/ plenty of exercise and weigh-ins.

Okay, your turn to ask a new question, Eric. :)

Alright, darn it! I'll go.

In the movie "Sophie's Choice" (1982, Oscar-winning role for Meryl Streep), Stingo, who is an American writer, tells the story of a young Polish survivor of the holocaust (Sophie) who lives with him. He writes about her and her relationship with Nathan, an abusive, mentally unstable Jewish man. In one of the most heart-wrenching scenes ever portrayed by any actor, as Sophie describes to Stingo the "choice" that she faced, we see in a flashback how Sophie is given her ultimatum by one of the Nazi soldiers --

"You may keep one of your children. The other will have to go. Which one will you keep?"

If you were faced with Sophie's choice, could you choose one child to send to a concentration camp in order to save the other?

I suppose I could only if I was forced to make a decision like that. It would not be an easy one to make at all.

This one is a little less thought provoking...

If you are traveling on a back country road in rural America going a nice cool 50 mph, not a care in the world, and notice a stop sign up ahead at an interesection. You look left, no cars are coming, you look right, no cars coming, no one is coming toward you either. Do you stop?

Of course. Safety first. :)

Standing in front of you is the man who molested your child. Due to a technicality (say not being read his rights or something), he gets away with no jail time. What do you do?

Remember, they need to be yes or no questions. Is he standing in front of me while I am out hunting, with a nice big shotgun in my hand, and you want to know -- Do I shoot him?

Yes! In the groin.

Is he standing in front of me in the courtroom while surrounded by cops and sheriffs and you want to know -- do I grab a cop's gun and shoot him?

No. I'd wait.

The first scenario was the one that was going through my head. You forgot the next question. :)

Ok I'll go again. If you were offered $100,000 to never use the internet again, would you take the money?

No way Jose... or, in this case, Jennifer.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with 6 other people and you were starving, would you eat one of your own to survive?

No, I think I would end up dying myself before I became canabilistic. Besides on a deserted "island" there has be crabs or even some kind of vegetation growing on it.

If your loved one (husband, wife, son, daughter) killed someone in a hit and run, would you turn them in to the police?

I couldn't turn them in, but would hope they'd do it themselves.

If you were offered a 25% increase in your current salary, would you accept a position of corporate downsizer that would have you firing your coworkers/friends?

Hmm..

That would be a tough 1.. but I'd say Yes.. I would accept it.. Not too be selfish.. but because it would mean more money in my pocket..

This 1 sounds sorta perverse so it can be deleted if you want.. but here it goes..

If you were offered $1 million to sleep with the celebrity of your deepest desires.. Would you sleep with them..?

Like the Montgomery Gentry song... "Hell Yeah!"

I can't think of any question right now. Someone else can jump in and ask one if they want.

If you had the chance to be a pop-star, would you do it? Think about it, you'd have all the money and the glam and what have you, but you'd forever lose your privacy. And you'd never know if your "friends" were friends or in it for the money. So, would you like to be a pop star?

If you found out your husband/wife was cheating on you, would you immediately kick them out, or would you try to make the relationship work?
