I think that she is in the outer banks of NC and the dates where from the 11th to the 18th so expect her to be back posting next week. :)

Yes, she's here in my state at Emerald Isle having a BLAST w/ her family at their rented condo! :D 8-)

Ooo! I went to the outer banks for the fourth of july. It was great...i saw 3 out of the 4 lighthouses. I had such a good time there...hope you do too mary!

I've never seen Cape Hatteras but would like to sometime. :D
Have only been to Cape Henry, VA. :wink:

Thanks guys. I love the Outer Banks and hope she has a terrific time. I can't really imagine her climbing those dunes with the bum ankle. YIKES

Hope she comes back rested and totally relaxed. She's earned it.

You guys!!!! I tell you what....I'm so dang tired from that 11 hour drive, didn't quite do the driving, but hey I'm still tired. I was tempted to skip the computer tonight and now I'm so touched and glad I didn't! Karan - dear friend, you are just too much, you know that? LOL Yes I do have bum ankles, you are so right there! We did try walking on the beach one evening, tide was coming in and of course I was barefoot. Let's just say it was not easy walking in those conditions! Even Jim glanced over and said - you're gonna twist an ankle again aren't you?

We were technically in the very southern tip of the Outer Banks so no sand dunes for me (we did that in Michigan several years ago, it's really cool to see dunes and attempt walking on them!). Had good weather for the most part and a great time. Way too much seafood, but it's so good, how can you say no to scallops one more night? LOL Laura is on this clam kick, she'll order an entree we just know she won't care for and then of course we hear - I have to eat the shell too? Kids! Teens! I think she misses those kiddie meal offers if you ask me but she is at that stage when she just doesn't know what she wants on a menu. Me? I just want to be served! :-) Miss Mary's kitchen was closed for one week - yeah!!!!

Well, I'm still not typing that well yet. he he Outta practice here.....one day Jim said oh go check your boards and see what's up. So I did but we had dial up service - it took forever! So I said forget that, spoiled now. I just decided to take a full week off. Going to hard to get back into the swing of things.

So tell me, since this may be a good spot to ask - did I miss anything? Did TinseeBrain/aka Johnny try to get back in? Anyone win the lotto around here? LOL
