161 DEMOCRATS vote for UN to monitor presidential election

IN FLORIDA, the counties where the 'complaints" were made were controlled by democrats. dems were the poll workers, dems approved and
designed the ballots.

Then it was indeed a coup de grace delivered from the brother who promised to deliver the state?

Such are the lessons of 2000 learned.

I'd still like to know what there is to hide from countries who wish to follow our example of democracy in action. Why is that wrong?

Complain complain complain. There was a total recount in Florida after Gore threw his tantrum. Bush won Florida.

I don't think it was a total recount - only for the counties affected.

It was too close to call NOT to have a recount.

How does the desire and/or interest of other countries to follow our example have anything to do with the UN monitoring our elections? I don't understand how that could be tossed into the argument when one has nothing to do with the other.

If government HERE isn't working well, how can we expect others to follow the example? We should always be concerned that our mechanisms are working correctly before exporting them to others, i.e. the Middle East.

You wonder why the U.S. is becoming the laughing stock of the world, but manage very well to be outraged about it, eh?

It's very simple actually, foreign observers/monitors are the best insurance we have that we're on our best behaviour at all times. 2000 was not exactly a shining moment in the history of elections in this country.

Sorry but the UN has no business in our business. This is example A of why i may never ever again vote for a dam democrat.

Kiko, whether you know it or not, everyone and everything has it's flaws. We are not perfect. However, I don't think we are the laughing stock of the world. You may think that --- I DO NOT!!!!

We need to correct our flaws internally. Why would we bring the United Nations which is one of the MOST imperfect organization in to our country to monitor our processes. They cannot even monitor their processes.

I don't think we have anything to hide and as many have said before me - THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS HERE!!!!
