Nuclear arms reportedly found in Iraq

BAGHDAD, July 21 (UPI) -- Iraqi security reportedly discovered three missiles carrying nuclear heads concealed in a concrete trench northwest of Baghdad, official sources said Wednesday.

The official daily al-Sabah quoted the sources as saying the missiles were discovered in trenches near the city of Tikrit, the hometown of ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

"The three missiles were discovered by chance when the Iraqi security forces captured former Baath party official Khoder al-Douri who revealed during interrogation the location of the missiles saying they carried nuclear heads," the sources said.

They pointed out that the missiles were actually discovered in the trenches lying under six meters of concrete and designed in a way to unable sophisticated sensors from discovering nuclear radiation.

The sources said al-Douri, who is related to former Vice Chairman of the Iraq Revolution Council and Saddam's right-hand man Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, was captured after Iraqi police intercepted an e-mail message in which he set a meeting with another former Baath official.

The report could not be authenticated by the interior ministry or the national security department, but the paper noted Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zibari made a surprise request recently to Mohammed el-Baradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, to resume inspections for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Wow wow wow this is hot stuff!!!! To bad the media will never tell. :grr:

6 Meters equals 19.685 Feet

That's a helluva footer.

Any links to the story?

A U.S. military spokesman in Tikrit told United Press International that the report was untrue.

"Nothing's been found. The report is not factual," said Master Sgt. Robert Cowens, a spokesman for the 1st Infantry Division, based in Tikrit.

Maybe we can sell them back to them and make up some of the deficit.

Anyone here know anything about Presidential Determinations?

Here's one that came out yesterday, looks like we're about to re-arm the Iraqi's.

July 21, 2004
Presidential Determination

and Services Under the Foreign Assistance Act of

1961, as Amended, and the Arms Export Control Act,

Again, another MADE UP story by the Right...
I saw that story on NewsMax first.. checked it out, and immediately saw that it was FALSE when the Iraqi Minister said it was false and the army said it was false.

NO weapons found YET.. AND WHERE ARE THEY, President Bush?!

If it is false show the proof by linking to the sites that have managed to debunk it.

1, Intelligence supplied the information about WMD and Bush supported their findings. 2, chemical weapons have been recovered in the form of sarin nerve gas. 3, they knew we were coming so they had ample amount of time to hide/relocate WMD.

In 20' of concrete?

Our spy satellites never picked up that little construction project or wondered what was going on?

Guess that's another strike on the CIA.

Will the ones we re-arm them with be marked 'Made In USA' so we'll be able to distinguish them from the real ones when they are found though?

Mrschad, I think the CIA does just fine.

What I think is that the CIA is being made the scapegoat for the Shrub's own duplicious attempts to create validation for this war.

And George Tenet did a very nice job falling on his sword.

Yeah, but when he says "Mr. Bush" instead of "President," I'll really start to worry. :)

Sorry there J, don't mean to sound like Paolo. But I just get tired when I see REPUBLICAN websites stating that there are weapons, and they are later PROVED to be false... that's all.

Okay, if the shoe were on the other foot (well we all know Clinton never did anything) you would be painting a mighty different picture. So transparent.

That is your choice to hide, but why?

What's been proven to be false?

I could say that Saddam had WMD's in Iraq also and you can't PROVE that he didn't, can you? As far as I'm concerned, he had them and now they are hidden somewhere (maybe not in Iraq).

No one has PROVEN to me, beyond a reasonable doubt, that there are no WMD's.

No one has found a murder weapon in the Laci Peterson case yet. Does that mean she wasn't killed?

No one has found Lori Hawking yet. Does that mean she doesn't exist?

Come on! Just because something hasn't been located yet, doesn't mean it's not out there somewhere.

There's no cure for cancer yet. Doesn't mean we'll never find one.
