They mentioned "we had three tropical systems a year ago - this year we have none. What is really interesting is that because there's no systems out there - you have all this potential energy - heating that ocean up, the waves out there have been moving pretty fast - so the oceans are really heating up. There hasn't been allot of cloudcover - so there's allot of energy tabable for one strong system to come along and tap into all the heat and humidity down there. So what it does - are we gonna have some of those big hurricanes or not ? I'm not sure yet, but from what I can see it just looks like there's allot of energy to tab and it will be curious to see what the first storm is going to tab into."
