Bahamas wave and Caribbean wave

#1 Postby corpusbreeze » Fri Jul 23, 2004 9:58 pm

are to close to one another to form at the same time. Who will win? I have no idea but the Caribbean wave seems to be making a come back tonight while the other seems to be on the down trend.

Im not sure but IMO the Bahamas wave looks like the best bet right now, the caribbean wave is really elongated but is starting to make a comeback. Convection is starting to flare up as it moves towards the Yucatan Peninsula. I think the Bahama one will be the vinner!!

There's no wave in the Bahamas.

Everything prior to formation isn't a wave. A wave is technically an African Easterly Wave (AEW). Most TCs in the Atlantic form from AEWs or AEWs in combination with some other feature, but this had nothing to do with anything that came from Africa.

Or could it be the old northern half of the Caribbean wave that broke off and got hitched with a ull?
