The JTWC actually dropped this yesterday then brought it back today with a "good" rating for development. The system is several hundred miles NE of Guam and maybe will affect Iwo-Jima down the road. The Monterey NRL didn't even have it listed when I checked it out around 9pm this eve

Also, check out the area south of Japan.

They said....
The LLC was weak when checked by quickscat and was seperated from the MLC but the equatorward outflow channel does make it look better organized. Could be a depression by tom. maybe.
