WELL SAID Janie34!!!!
You completely explained my viewpoint, except for the fact that I am not in school for my met degree. I would add one caveat to your last paragraph however. -removed- on an internet site can also have bad consequences because no matter how many disclaimers we add there are also some that will rely on the information they get from an internet site before they check their locals. I have seen it happen personally and have had to calm a few who have emailed me asking if "that system" was realy going to become a CAT5 and hit. That is the reason I am so adamant about not -removed- systems!! Like you said we are all enthusiastic about the weather and in fact like to experience it, but that is a long way from -removed-.
What do you consider yourself?

I sure take your point, Vbhoutex. Some people will see something on the internet and take it as the literal truth without investing the time to verify the information. This applies to anything from taking news articles to be something true (could be a spoof, rumour, or unreliable reports) to a BB created for a specific group (say, Democratic or Republican) and interpreting posts as the actual positions of those groups. Yah, I can easily see the same thing happening on Wx sites. Thats a real problem because, as you say, people can read posts on the board, think those posts are the official product, and run with it. All kinds of problems can arise from that, so I'm glad the disclaimer is present. Good call.
