Words from a former U.N. Inspector.....

#1 Postby Guest » Wed Mar 26, 2003 1:31 pm

Scott Ritter, former UN weapons inspector, says a U.S. defeat in Iraq is inevitable:
"The United States is going to leave Iraq with its tail between its legs, defeated. It is a war we can not win," he told private radio TSF in an interview broadcast here on Tuesday evening.

"We do not have the military means to take over Baghdad and for this reason I believe the defeat of the United States in this war is inevitable," he said.

Scott Ritter needs to wake up.

Here's a portion of an article from July 2002:

Therein lies the rub: According to Scott Ritter, who spent seven years in Iraq with the UNSCOM weapons inspection teams performing detailed investigations into Iraq's weapons program, no such capability exists. Iraq simply does not have weapons of mass destruction or maintain threatening ties to international terrorism. Therefore, no premise for a war in Iraq exists. Considering the American military lives and the Iraqi civilian lives that will be spent in such an endeavor, not to mention the deadly regional destabilization that will ensue, such a baseless war must be avoided at all costs.

Scott Ritter is the same one that went on TV in Afghanistan denouncing the United States for invading that country too. So IMO he has no credibility!!

He is an American!!!

Just curious...

Why does this man seem to hate America? After reading several articles and seeing him on TV, I can come to no other conclusion. I know he's had some trouble with the law that was recently revealed and I'm sure he didn't appreciate that, but his hostility towards America was clear long before that.

Is it possible he thinks somehow that he'll be blamed when they find WMD for not finding them before? I don't know, I'm just trying to figure out why this man would have so much open hostility.

Uh, Scott Ritter is from a town about 20 miles from me. I don't know why he went from an inspector against Saddam to a buddy of his. I do know he has been arrested for trying to pick up young girls over the internet, and has taken a lot of flack in the area for his "problems". This is why you haven't heard from him recently.
