KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- KCTV5 News has confirmed that two Kansas City, Kansas police officers have been shot.
Both have been rushed to the University of Kansas Medical Center for treatment.
We're told a suspect is in custody.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) -- Authorities say two Kansas City, Kansas, police officers and a citizen were shot tonight.
They were taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center, but their conditions aren't available.
Police spokeswoman Carol Zugecic says a suspect is in custody. It's not clear whether the suspect and the injured citizen are the same person.
Zugecic says she doesn't know what led to the shooting. It happened at about 6:20 p.m.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) -- Two police officers and a child were shot Wednesday night in the northeast part of the city, authorities said.
The officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call around 6:20 p.m. when one of the officers was shot in both legs and another was shot in the buttocks.
The officers were listed in critical and stable condition at the University of Kansas Medical Center, said Carol Zugecic, a police communications supervisor.
The child was shot in the leg and her condition was not immediately known, Zugecic said.
The names of the injured were not immediately available.
A suspect was in custody, Zugecic said.
She said she did not know what led to the shooting.
