Quite a bust today

#1 Postby PTrackerLA » Mon Jul 26, 2004 4:19 pm

Well it rained just about everywhere in south Louisiana yesterday except here. If you looked at the storm total there was a big hole of no precip right over Lafayette. Today we had a 60% chance of rain but the current radar shows MAYBE a 5% coverage limited just to the coast. Don't think we'll get anything today and the rest of this week's rain chances aren't that impressive. Guess I'll be watering the lawn tonight which is starting to turn brown :grr: .

It's amazing how you can get so much, and, then,
it's like somebody turned off the faucet! We had
those days of everyday rain for weeks, back in the
end of June, then, after the first week of July....
nothing. I watched rainclouds literally go "poof!"
over the weekend, just as they got to us in
Lawrence County....but, we were finally blessed
with a good rain shower, today. I hope ya'll get
some rain, too!

We had over 13" of rain in June, but not even 2" so far this month which fell in the first week of July. We're still 15.44" over for the year too  . You're right breeze, it's either feast of famine!
