What's going on in the Bahamas?

Just noticing a pretty persistent ball of convection. Almost looks like something trying to get going at the surface on the IR. Ch. 2.

It looks like a bit of spin in that region, after all there has low pressure in the portion of the Atlantic Basin the last several days.

However, I do agree with your second thought, too.

The GFS model has that area becoming a low pressure zone. At least there was a big L over that area. The area is still there in 16 days though so...

I hope it continues to move westward toward South Florida, the rain it's producing is really needed in this part of the Sunshine State. If it organizes or not my concern is only that rain, and more rain is needed. Right now light rain is falling here and I will be posting more rain data in the next day or so as the weather is forecast to get really rainy.
