Taken in NW Houston near my house as a strong storm was builiing. Never produced any rotation, but the lightning was INTENSE and som eareas got 3" of rain from it. I will also stop and get out and take the picture so it isn't through the windshield. If I can make them better I will republish them.

Wow! Look at it! Thanks, David. Even though

Nice pics, those are some nasty storms. Didn't get a drop here today but there have been BIG storms all over the area since early afternoon. We could really use the rain as things have really dried up after 2+ weeks of no appreciable rain.

Thanks everyone. I am not too happy with them but I learned from the experience that I need to stop and take the pictures instead of doing them on the run.

We had another severe storm today with some areas near me getting 1.34" of rain and VERY INTENSE CG as well as flooding in some areas. Only got .94" here at the house, but that was in less than an hour. Lost power for a little while, but some areas around me are still without power. Haven't heard numbers on how many went down. I haven't seen such intense CG in a long time!!

David...I can feel THAT one! Strange how when you see something like that...and it is in front of you during the driving rain...all else takes SECOND PLACE to that moment.

Glad you are safe, but thanks for taking us along with you for the ride....same goes for you YankeeGirl, too!
