Did we get some rain!!!
I noticed on the US radar map at around 4:00 pm that the rain/storms were arriving in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. There was red in the picture over my area. As I got closer to home at about 6:30, I started to notice puddles in the normal areas that get them after a rain. However, these were much LARGER than normal and the rain had ended some time before then.
When I got home, I noticed that I had leaves, mulch and twigs that were washed down into my front lawn from my backyard.
It all came from UNDER my fence. The fence gate on that side of the house I couldn't open because it was blocked by more debris on the other side. My development gradually slopes down to a small stream that runs behind my neighbors across the street. Well, I know that the one side of my yard is how the over flow of rain water must've ran before the land was developed. There's a definate trail from the back of my yard where leaves and debris was pushed to one side or the other and then funnelled its way down that one part of my yard to the front. My whole property slopes up from the street to the back. Needless to say, I had some cleaning up to do after dinner!

Today Just compounded an already bad situation over the region--which has NOT had a chance to recover from what already fell the first half of the weekend.

Thanks weatherfan!
Here's the 24 hour storm totals radar. I'm in the dark green section to the north of Atlantic City which is between 2 -3 inches. That seems about right!

We'll have to see if this pattern continues into the fall. if it does, that COULD imply a snowier than normal winter over the MA and NE (which seems to be the program anyway per our preliminary analogs--see links in sig for details) should be interesting to see how it plays out, but I'm leaning on the side of cold and snow.

Just as you thought the worst was over.Another line of heavey rains has form in the same locations where they had 3 inchs of rains from the earlyer line of storms in the Baltmore and Dc.Unfornatley this looks to contune all night as the back ege shows no sign of any real east word movement as it all a southwest to northeast movement.

Baltimore had 4.45" of rain yesterday with a storm total of 5.09". 29.63" for the year so far. I saw a rainbow for 70 minutes yesterday as a line of showers and storms were situated just to the east of us for over an hour while the sun was out to our west. Usually a rainbow would be a nice way to end the day. But sometimes that is not the case as was the case last night as more heavy showers and storms trained over the same area for quite sometime last night. We still have lots of puddles after last nights rain.
