I think it will only get to about 90mph. Its going to be moving in cooler waters soon. IMO it will peak at 90mph then slowly drop.

Very nice. The CDO is looking much more symmetrical the past few hours so it just may be strengthening some more. I'm going to say that Darby will top out around 115 mph sustained before moving over the cooler SSTs; therefore, she should become our first major hurricane of the Eastern Pacific season.

The national hurricane center has it topping 105 MPH. So you may be right on this one.

If it does not get any higher than 105 mph, I WAS ABSOLUTLY CORRECT ON MY OWN GUT FEELING. I said 105 mph before even the NHC did.

That eye wall has very cold cloud tops, with a nice small eye! I would almost say even a little stronger then 120 mph. Very interesting storm.

Not bad. This is what I said two days ago:

Since then the NHC has forecast 85 kts... or 100 mph. I am leaning more towards 105 mph at a peak. So I forecast 100-120 mph. I have 20 mph difference. So, in order to make it fair, I will forecast 105 mph....

LOL, same here Swimdude. The first major in 21 months! While it is winding down, it made a great run, especially in the conditions it had. NHC never forecasted it to get that high, but there you go!
