GULF OF MEXICO...
THE ATLC SFC RIDGE HAS BEEN SHUNTED WELL TO THE E OF FLORIDA
WITH A SURFACE TROF MEANDERING OVER THE N GULF ALONG 28N. A WEAK
AREA OF LOW PRES DEVELOPED ALONG THE ERN END OF THE TROF OVER
APALACHEE BAY EARLIER TODAY...AND PRESSURES HAVE BEEN SLOWLY
DROPPING WITH A 1011 MB LOW NOW CENTERED ABOUT 120 NM NW OF
TAMPA BAY. A COL REGION HAS DEVELOPED IN THE MID/UPPER LEVELS
OVER THE E GULF...RESULTING IN RELATIVELY WEAK MEAN FLOW OVER
THE AREA. WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS/TSTMS HAVE DEVELOPED S OF THE
LOW/TROF FROM 24N-26N BETWEEN 82W-90W AND HAVE MOVED VERY LITTLE
DURING THE DAY.

FLORIDA AND THE N BAHAMAS...
IT HAS BEEN A WET DAY ACROSS MUCH OF FLORIDA AND THE BAHAMAS AS
SEVERAL WEATHER FEATURES MERGE OVER THE AREA. A BROAD AREA OF
UPPER LEVEL DIVERGENCE IS CENTERED OVER THE FLORIDA
STRAITS...WHICH HAS SUPPORTED SCATTERED MODERATE CONVECTION OVER
FLORIDA...W CUBA...AND THE NW BAHAMAS FROM 22N-30N BETWEEN
78W-84W. LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE CONTINUES TO SURGE INTO THE AREA AND
THE WET CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY REMAIN THROUGH THE WEEKEND AS AN
UPPER LOW E OF THE BAHAMAS MOVES TOWARDS N FLORIDA.

Sounds about right. Pressure here in Tampa is 29.90. We had one that developed here last year just off shore. Lets see what happens. Like Steve said always the bridesmaid but never the bride. Ooops, I better not say that as this could just sit and hammer us with more rain we don't need.
