2. SUSPECT AREA (BAHAMAS)
A. 30/1800Z
B. AFXXX 01DDA INVEST
C. 30/1500Z
D. 28.0N 77.0W
E. 30/1730Z TO 30/2100Z
F. SFC TO 10,000 FT

They will fly from Biloxi at around 1 PM EDT and get closer to the surface low at around 2 PM 1800z so let's wait for the reports to se if we have a pure tropical TD or something subtropical.

I doubt very seriously of they will call it subtropical. Its going to hit land and they don't want the confusion that will cause. THey may say something in the discussion about it not being purely tropical...but I don't think they will call it so.

IMO, it will be a pure TD.

If this were in the middle of the Atlantic, it would probably be Subtropical, but I HIGHLY doubt it will be since it's already threatening land.

Well, it is what it is. I remember the huge outcry with Gustav in 2002 with the NHC still calling it subtropical even at its closest approach to the Outer Banks. If it's subtropical, I wouldn't expect them to call it anything but subtropical.
