QuikSCAT "confirms" RECON @ 50kts.

Swath cuts off part of storm, but one 50kt barb is present.

I cannot tell for sure, but that may be 2 seperate vectors. A 50 KT vector is typically represented by a triangle

You're right, it is two vectors--I got caught by a quick glance trying to pull my forecast together--my fault there.

Alex is likely a 40KT storm based upon everything that I've seen.

That QS's should be a bit easier to read though and I wish the raw data was more easily available (I can get it, I just dont want to write the fortran program to read it... wait, I think someone at the office has just wrote it)
