Dominant features down the road?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Dominant features down the road?

#1 Postby EDR1222 » Mon Aug 02, 2004 11:24 pm

Just wondering if anyone has any information on what the future holds. I see alot of activity coming off Africa. Looks like it is getting busy. Does it look like the deep east coast trough coming down will stay in place long enough to deflect these potential storms away from the east coast or is it too early to tell?

I have read several articles from some experts that said the troughs would be on their way out this year. So far it seems like they have been fairly persistant most of the summer.

Any thought?

Thanks

Well it looks like the trough'll be around for the forseeable future (over a week), but after that it's really anyone's guess. I remember last year all the hype of a persistent EC trough and then Isabel happened...
