Everyone has been making new threads all day for advisories and so on, why just be rude to one person?

I don't think he was being rude at all. He posted similar messages telling the members to try to keep that information in one thread instead of starting a bunch of new ones for the same basic thing.

Thanks, Kelly.

IN NO WAY was I trying to be rude. I just would like to see all of this information kept in one place--which makes life easier by eliminating the need to create all sorts of new threads dealing with the same information, and also helps us develop an easy-to-access archive for all the advisories and vortex messages. I'm sorry if it didn't sound that way. it was NOT my intention.

For the record, I don't believe Forecasters have access to making stickies and announcements.

Thanks for making it a sticky, Kelly.

the s2k forecasters can post stickies, not announcements though. I'm not an s2k forecaster any longer so i cant post stickies anymore either.

I meant forecasters and professional mets.

Only administrators can post announcements. I was aware of that, but wasn't at the moment I made my post above.

I being the mod. of the Greetings & Stats forum... only have access to make thread stickies in that forum.

I am hoping this will not be very bad for Hatteras. Remember, they just got hit by Isabel last September. I was in Nags Head last October, three weeks after Izzy hit them and the damage was appalling.

I was really hoping that the Outer Banks would not get any more tropical cyclones for a while, at least for this season.

The storm is bombing so to speak! Its Cdo over the last few frames have become round. With a warm spot forming in the center. I would not be surprized if this had a clear eye this afternoon with winds of 85 to 90 mph? Pressure 972 to 975 millibars? I think this is because the system is moving with the shear. We see that with many storms. Lets see how it turns out.

5am advisory has him at 80mph. Gotta admit, Alex has become more than I had thought he would. Just hoping he goes the track they say and will go on the east side of the outter banks. Even the thought of him cutting between the island's and the main land makes me shiver.

Is it me or has the eye taken a more northerly turn. Like NNE.

Saw it too but I'm not really awake...glad someone else mentioned it. Gonna be a real close call for Morehead..they got nasty rain bands hitting em anyways.

This is the Morehead City short-range loop (last 45 minutes). Definitely more NNE than NE. Looking like it's headed straight for Ocracoke Island if it keeps on this trajectory.

Looking at some radar imagery, this looks more organized than a 70KT storm, closer to 75 or 80KT storms that have made landfall before and sure a lot better than Claudette looked last year. Hoping recon doesnt find too much of a surprise when they enter the soon shortly
