There are many sites which talk about the Blizzard of 96. Do you have any place in particular you would like to know about?

Everyone in the MA and NE was pounded by the storm.

I believe it ended up in the Newfoundland and Quebec areas, as well as Greenland. That storm dumped pretty good judging by the map above!

Hey there. Long time no see . But yeah that map does seem a little underdone especially along the edges. I know i recieved about 16 inches from that myself and i was living just inland from the DE coast. Got about 9 inches then it went to a mixed bag of precip and then ended as snow getting another 7 inches or so from the wrap around which was amazing considering not many storms drop that amount of snow behind them unlike the midwest and plains.

CT was hit harder than most of MA in the 96 storm. It was a coastal strom for the NE. Definitely wasn't the case in the 93 superstorm, nor in the 2001 noreaster when my home town apparently got (a record?) 24 inches (I was in CT at the time and only saw 15 inches)

15.5 inches in my town in the 96 storm...although I would like to thank the 96 storm for giving some of us in the western MA area an unprecedented (at least in my school era) TWO straight days off from school. A nice 4 day weekend. I don't think it even snowed on the Monday, but they gave us Tuesday off just because they hadn't plowed the snow well enough for safe driving.

January 6, 7, and 8 in 1996, we got clocked by heavy snow/winds in the DCA/Northern Virginia region. Dale City/Woodbridge was buried under 20 inches of snow, with 6 foot drifts.

I LOVED that blizzard!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I shoveled snow for HOURS!! :)

I can NEVER get enough of digging snow!!!

BRING IT ON!!!!
