What do you make of this?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

It's plain simple, I think it will continue towards the west northwest throughout it's journey through the Caribbean. As I mentioned earlier, with this fast westerly track at 25 mph, this system will have no chance to develop a low level circulation, hence become a wave. In addition the chance of it recurving northward seems very low at this point given the fast westerly track that is happening now and potentially for the next few days. This would suggest in my opinion that this will track through the Caribbean as a wave and if it in fact slows down over the western Caribbean, it could potentially develop at that time and head into the Gulf Of Mexico.

In this case I think I think you are allowed to say that and I agree, especially given the fast westerly motion through the Caribbean. A curve with this type of motion seems very unlikely at this time and a tropical wave seems more likely than a depression right now.

That is the path it would take if it continued its current motion. Its not a model just the extrapolation.

Have no fear YG, If this does develop?? Big If at this point, the trof will keep it from heading too far west into the GOM, will be an eastern theat if anything.

It probably will spark some (more) discussion, but it is 44 minutes before a lot of people get out of work and aren't able to be online now. :)

The thing I'm worried about(for development) is if that huge trough moves into the Gulf as forecast. If it does, shear will shred it. Now it's possible it could be strong enough by then to protect itself(anticyclone), but that's really speculation at this point.

I think we can all agree it's not going out to sea anymore.

THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWO...LOCATED OVER THE
SOUTHEASTERN CARIBBEAN SEA...ARE MOVING WESTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH.
THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BECOME MORE CONCENTRATED ABOUT 185 MILES EAST OF
BONAIRE...OR ABOUT 360 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF PUERTO RICO. THE
SLOWER MOVEMENT OF THE SYSTEM MAY ALLOW A SURFACE LOW PRESSURE
CENTER TO FORM AND....IF NECESSARY...AN AIR FORCE RESERVE
RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT WILL INVESTIGATE THE SYSTEM THURSDAY
MORNING TO DETERMINE IF REGENERATION IS OCCURRING.
