Can someone elaborate this portion of the NOAA message for me, thanks?
THE AFRICAN EASTERLY JET APPEARS TO HAVE
SHIFTED FARTHER S AND SHORTED THE WAVELENGTH A BIT. IF THIS IS
THE CASE... PERHAPS ONE WAVE IS JUST ABOUT TO LEAVE THE COAST
AND THE WAVE WE HAVE BEEN TRACKING HAS ALREADY PASSED THE CAPE
VERDES. THE CURRENT POSITION IS A COMPROMISE BETWEEN CONTINUITY
AND SATELLITE LOOPS. ITCZ CONVECTION ONLY
what do they mean by shifted further south and what effect does that have on systems leaving the coast?
Explanation!
