Can we call a political truce on this board?

#1 Postby Guest » Fri Aug 06, 2004 8:38 am

Really, it's getting quite crazy in here lately. Some of us love Bush, some love Kerry and some are undecided. How about we just leave it at that and try to resume to our normal everyday chitchat? It seems every topic is turned into a political debate these days. I miss the warm friendly atmosphere that this board is known for! :)

The one day sounds good. It seems that it is impossible to carry on a specific political discussion without bashing on both sides.

I have reduced my contributions to the political threads on this board to see if it improves the way people on board feel about me. :D

I got off-track... I think the one day sounds good!

I agree Linda. We all have our views and can type till we are blue in the fingers, but that doesn't mean we will be able to make that much difference in changing someone's thoughts.

AMEN JENNIFER!!! :D

I think part of the problem is that perhaps we post our opinions in order to try and change another person's way of thinking. That ain't happening folks!

Totally True. But I think the reason why people post the political stuff on here is because there probably are a few undecided votes on the board here and people are trying to get them to vote their way.

lol, good luck Jenn. All it takes is a thread about something terror-related or gas prices and it'll turn political, no doubt.

Another hurricane, a winter storm would help divert attention.

But a truce?

would be hard.
