One could never tell that is him, not even the remotest resemblance, even at 80 years old. ;)

I did-got 2 one he wrote to me on and signed--the other he just signed---and everyone here is trying to snatch the one he signed lol... My mom and Aprils mom both wanted one but in the craziness, I was lucky to have gotten the 2 I got--chaotic day at work with boss going crazy trying to prepare for him

Ringo played St. Augustine bar.....

#9 Postby GrimReaper » Sat Aug 07, 2004 1:39 pm

From The St. Augustine Record..."Ringo Starr's night on the town Thursday left St. Augustine residents with tales of famous encounters."

Seems Ringo sat in a couple of songs at TradeWinds, a killer St. Augustine patio bar. The local group, "Matanzas" said he was gracious and asked THEM if he could join in!! Wow, what a cool celebrity!! Too bad Grim wasn't out on the town that night, lol. So Jek was right, Ringo Starr ireally is a very nice person to meet in person!!!

Are you kidding???

What's up with you, Petal??? This really is Ringo Starr...why would Jekye make this up, and do you think an impostor could fool an entire bar full of people when HE (Ringo) asked to join, a nationally recognized band, for a set?? And do you think an impostor could pony up the cash to stay in St. Augustine's 5-star hotel...at $1000.00 night??? A personal friend of mine is the Executive Housekeeper, and confirmed Jek's story with her own pics and autographs. Umm, by the way, you didn't say....did you grow up with him personally???

So SORRY>>>>>>>>>

Sorry, Petal, I hought you were calling Jek a liar. But I have to agree with a point you made......Mr. Starr...has gotten a little "fluffy" in his old age...lol. His face is really kinda bloated looking. I guess that's what happens as we age.....hope it doesn't happen to me!!!! I only wish I had been at Trade Winds on Thursday night!!!!!!!!

He didnt show on the HSN despite the grids schedule and I began to think this person "Ringo Star" was a fake but there were financial transactions that I saw that had the name Ringo Starr on the checks...Here is why I found he wasn't on TV...

IM from coworker
They went there and instead of 5 people to expect them there were 500 so ringo got upset and left right away.
