Right now if you look at the mine center it is moving N and should begin to turn NE or NNE

It looks like crap. The satellite over us during our rain event for most of the day today looked more impressive.

Cheif Met Jason Kelly of WJHG TV in PC Beach noted that the majority of the west vector is gone from Bonnie who is "feeling the first trough" (and behaving accordingly). He's also noted the relaxed shear from this morning and his anticipation that it will relax further. If he's right, he believes strengthening (significant) could be soon underway.

That's all I can tell ya' ;). Hope you suckers on the NW Coast have your beer and cigs all stocked up for the storm. Wish I Was There

OK so Bonnie is now stalled as forecast with decreasing shear. Now what?

Come back in 6 hours. I think she's stretched right now in the direction she'll be heading. The first trough is acting on her, but the shear is letting up. The convection should be building overhead shortly (would be my guess anyway).

I am thinking something along that line about Bonnie being absorbed. The subtropical low over Mississippi looks to be stronger and may pull Bonnie or her remains into it. The subtropical low has been a player in the slower, assymetrial development of Bonnie. The models may be playing up the subtropical low instead.

The sooner we can rid the gulf of Bonnie and the subtropical low, the more energy that will be available for Charley.

Now what? If you're in the threat area, ice down that beer, check your lighter supply and send a limo over to pick me up.
