"HOT DOG!"

#1 Postby azsnowman » Fri Mar 28, 2003 7:09 pm

In a world filled with such violence, it's refreshing to get some GOOD NEWS for a change. As some of you know, my wife and I, Michelle, belong to the Navajo County Sheriffs Dept K9 Search and Rescue Unit. We are sworn part time law officers, deputies, WELLLLL, we had applied for the National Association for Search and Rescue, NASAR, awhile back, we we're JUST accepted today AAANNNNDDD, I've been accepted in the White Mountain Apache Tribal Police NARC Division  WAAAAHOOOO! It's been a dream of mine to either work for the DEA or a local law enforcement agency with my dog, she's a Flat Coated Retriever, I've been working with her for over a year in drug detection, my dream has COME true :D The WMATPD will certify myself and Macy for work on the reservation, the cert will also allow us to contract ourselfs out to other agencies within the White Mountain area. I have a BIG problem with illegal drugs and this is ONE way I can contribute!

Being in NASAR, we are now certified to travel ALL over the United States on SAR missions, not just the immediate area, upon receiving this news today, resigned our position with the NCSO and are now deputies with WMATPD! That's why I haven't been around too much today!
