Dixie my -removed- florida friend, you know better than to think that. Chuck is right on NHC projected track. Let him be for now. Plenty of time to get him in your backyard.

OK, y'all, knock it off --- . It just looked to me like there was a bit of a northerly track. No one in the world wants Charley to go somewhere other than Florida than me this week. I'm leaving Florida for 5 days tomorrow.

I agree with the knock it off. We don't like the term -removed-....

please remember that our goal is to promote awareness and education. Dixie asked a fair question and all that's needed is an answer ;-)

Maybe he should take a short cut. It's about time the western Florida Gulf coast woke up! no offense but keep -removed- and you will receive.

I think the Fla. west coast is awake. Most of along the coast remember the destruction of Elena in '85 -- and she didn't even make landfall here!

The big problem for the Fla. west coast major population centers like Tampa Bay, is evacuation. The options are so limited and bad, many are advised to make preparations and ride out storms.

A Cat. 1 or 2 'cane landfalling in Tampa Bay would be catastrophic. Just consider the huge number of elderly in the area -- throughout Florida, for that matter.

No one I know wishcasts for a major storm here.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. I'm a Florida West coaster and for us to be concerned with Charley's track is very valid. The next person to talk derisively about -removed- when people are just asking for input will be shown the door!

i did not mean to offend anyone.

i agree with dixie but however it seems the peninuslia of florida has escaped many storms over the past years since andrew. i am from the panhandle and we seem to go through this drill every season several times unlike the "peninuslia". no body seems to give a rats butt. however when the "whitehairs" are affected it's omg!!!

there is another part to florida!!!

i'm sorry once again, if i upset anyone.
