Impressive wave just off west africa that show banding features and it has a 1008 mb low with it.I think that this wave has a good chance to develop so let's see down the road what happens.

Wow, it does look pretty good.

Doesn't appear to be much in the way of shear in the way for it... so that is a plus.

Wow, also looks like Earl, Frances, and Gaston! Seriously though, they all look really impressive now. Te one that's just coming off already looks good, but the one that is southwest of the Cape Verdes looks pretty good too, so that needs to be watched. Well, that's the tropics for you.

Some dry air in the area but not as pronnounced.

The system is looking spectacular. As I have said all along, this is the one to watch in the islands.
The current pattern doesn't look too good...

Id assume with the massive ridge being pumped up by the more then spectacular trough..... it means(as ive said in the last few days) that the pattern supports systems that dont develop TOO rapidly to move on a more west- wnw track then moving quickly out to sea
