Charley's eye

#1 Postby WeatherEmperor » Thu Aug 12, 2004 12:02 pm

Hey guys check it out. Is it really an eye that is forming with Charley? Looks kinda cool. Now we can finally nail his TRUE direction down better.

You can see the eye in several frames Charley is making a bee line towards the Isle of youth.

More specifically, its aiming directly for Cayo Largo, some 60 miles east of the Isle of Youth, which received a direct hit from Cat 4 Michelle in 2001  Such an idyllic island, but not today.... All the hotel workers have been evacuated, thank god.

Well we can throw Cat 1 out the window, because Charlie is obviously a Cat 2 right now byt the looks of it.

Looks like Cayo largo will be on the strong side of the storm all right. I meant to say in my earlier post that the eyewall would brush by the isle of youth just to the east.
