Let me say for the record

#1 Postby Andrew92 » Thu Aug 12, 2004 2:28 pm

If TWC shows Storm Stories tonight or tomorrow, I'm gonna scream and go mad.

This is NOT a time to be showing a TV show about history when we have something going on NOW. I recall in 1995 they had a show that they will willing to cancel in the event of a huge weather event, so they should call this show off too.

Message coming from someone who doesn't even live in hurricane country.

I am with everyone who believes that TWC's priorities are screwed up. With the crappy coverage overall this past spring with severe weather, I just rely on the Internet. It is a ton better anyways.

I can see the programming directors sitting down and discussing this....

"So, when are we gonna run Storm Stories?"
"I know, I know, let's run it during the HOURS THE NEW ADVISORIES COME OUT. No one watches that dren anyway...."

Bah.

Oh, and hi, I'm new.

Nobody should be watching the Weather Channel for coverage on Charley or any hurricane, anyways. TWC plain old sucks.

If they show Storm Bories during the hurrcane I will lose what little respect I have for them...........................however I think(hope) they will be smart. They took a lot of heat one time when they showed it during one of the worst tornado outbreaks in US history, and I think they have learned from their mistakes.

Don't you folks get it? Storm Stories takes priority over EVERYTHING. Got a storm in your area? Too bad. Watch Storm Stories instead...it'll take your mind off your immediate concerns.

Can I agree 150% with you Andrew92? I could not believe it last night - TWC allowed mere minutes to Bonnie/Charley and then launched right into SS at 8:02 last night. I said then and there if they do that Thursday night....this was before today....well, all I can say is if they air SS again tonight I am writing to TWC! I think we should flood TWC with letters, emails, etc. if they air SS tonight. Let's see if they do and then I suggest someone around here start a new thread, so we can really round everyone up. Numbers speak folks......don't know why I even clicked on your thread, there are so many, coming in by the minute here but I swear I had no idea it would be what's peeving me today - TWC!

Thanks for letting me vent a bit.

I dispise TWC already, if they show storm stories IMO they will lose the little bit of credibility they have left. Anybody remember November 10 2002? I'm sure the people under the multiple F3-F4 tornadoes do, but they couldn't find any information from TWC, they were running "Atmospheres"

Let Mark Suddith take over TWC

#16 Postby cebers01 » Thu Aug 12, 2004 3:58 pm

He's been doing a good job reporting for WBT and WBTV... Let him take over TWC and clear the deadwood!

On the other hand, my wife is VERY UPSET about the 24-hour coverage
we're getting on all the local channels.

It's preemptiing Big Brother.

I totally disagree with everyone in this thread. I loved it back in May when 9 tornadoes were spotted across northern missouri and were heading my way and they played storm stories. It was very informative and interesting.
