If you look at the showers/thunderstorms between Sarasota and Ft Myers they are moving NE. While this may nothing I wonder if this is a indicator of upper level winds now blowing from the sw in response to the trough.

I'm convinced the storm is in a bending phase for a few reasons. Over the last 6 hours the average forward speed has been around 12 mph. a slowing trend that is a sign that the storm is being transferred from the influence of the ridge over to the influence of the trough. The Key West radar loop shows a steadily more northerly course. The core of the storm is definitely moving north. The outlow to the north of the storm is being taken to the north and northeast and finally, the water vapor loops show a strong surge of westerly upper level winds all the way into the central gulf. All signs of a northerly course with maybe a bend to the NNE .I just don't see this storm getting all the way north to Tampa with a Ft. Myers or even Naples landfall more possible to me. Also, a direct Key West hit is VERY possible.
