You know TWC has gotten so bad lately that i actually get mad while im watching it lol. Its nothing but a commercial channel with weather breaks really. and if you happen to be lucky enough to not catch a commercial, they quality of the OCMS is just horrible. nothing like sending your best ocm to a beach somewhere while leaving people who cant put two sentences togethor responsable for giving storm details. its only good for radar but you are LUCKY to even see that nowadays.

I can't believe they are going to run Storm Stories tonight. I mean, its not like Charley is heading towards Key West or anything....

What would John Hope have done??

Are we sure they're going to air SS?

If you want a good idea to pitch to TWC Andrew92 here's my idea.

Create two Weather Channel's.

TWC1 would be all weather, up to the minute forecasting. Severe wx alerts, live feeds (via local Mets if possible), etc.

TWC2 would be all fluff pieces - gardening, storm stories, health segments (sunscreen), etc. All the fluff pieces they want. And scrolling at the bottom could be wx updates, similar to what CNN scrolls for news. So if you were watching the fluff stuff and a tornado lands somewhere, they could scroll it and you could jump over to TWC1.

Think MTV and how they created two channels. MTV2 is really what MTV started out like! One is music and the other music related shows/features. Although some of what TWC would considers wx related shows/features (Gardening? Hello we have HGTV for that!) is a joke IMHO, but don't say that. You don't want to irk them too much.

I don't care if you take this idea and run with it. I would really like TWC to get back to WEATHER.

I say if you are going to call yourself "The Weather Channel" than it what they should always gives us the weather and that alone. Not another channel for it.

I was listening to TWC this morning while getting ready for work. I couldn't believe my ears when I thought I heard them say that this would be the first time that FL would be affected by two tropical systems in the same year since....1921 or something like that. Did I hear them correctly?

Is it Cantore's mere existence that jinxes storms or is there something I'm not seeing in your posts?
