Stay safe, guys!
Not sure who all is evacuating, who is boarding up, and who is just going to ride it out as you are, but to those in the path and just about 24 hours out from landfall of Charley - STAY SAFE and check back when you can.
By this time, I'd most likely already be off the island if something was Galveston-bound. And I'm sure many of you aren't online as much anymore because you're completing all your preparations. Do what you have to do and we'll see you when you are able to return.
Also -- just a reminder -- we have the Storm2k Severe Weather Check-in Policy. http://www.storm2k.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=26105

also... Fill all your bathtubs up with water...
for a water supply... it may come in handy...
fill any and all ice chests up with ice... if
you lose power.. you'll be able to sell ice cold
cokes for $5.00 a pop! (kidding)...
if you lose power... don't open your refriderator for
any reason... DON"T DO IT...you'll lose everything
very quick... and your fridge will turn into a regular
storage cabinet (that's where the ice chest come in handy)
if and when you lose power... and it stays off for days...
that's then you have the community cook out...
everyone empties the freezer (it's gonna go bad)
and you have a huge cook out... that's the funnest
part of all!
also... if you leave...and you know for sure the storm
hit your area... before returning home... go buy a chainsaw...
they turn to gold upon your return....

Also, fill your Tupperware with water and freeze it. My freezer is full and my bath and washer also will be filled up.
